$118 per hour for labor? This is ridiculous. Parts were marked up 20% OVER list price from the Honda dealership. i.e. $99 a $110 for a rear strut (not the whole assembly with spring)... list price is $142 on the Honda parts website. Herb Chambers charged me $160+ per strut. Same with rear brake discs... $52 at Honda parts list price however I was charged $82 for the brake discs. Again, $118 per hour for labor. is this dealership run by the government??? $19.95 tacked on for an environmentally safe procedure. Really?!!! Haven... read more

Our last two times were: An inspection sticker, my wife Our last two times were: An inspection sticker, my wife called and was told they were able to do till 5 pm, we got there in 15 minutes and they were out. Nobody told the girl taking the calls. The time before that, they broke three out of 4 sensors on the tires of my Crosstour. I told them for nine months that something was wrong after getting the new tires, all they said was change in temperature. When I insisted on an inspection they agreed to fix their mistake. When ... read more

I was in the market for a certified pre-owned, $17k, with good gas mileage, so Honda seemed like a natural choice. The price offer was higher than I was willing to pay(nearly $400 a month!), especially because I have excellent credit (nearly 800), and was putting a 1/3 of the cost of the car as a down payment. They did not disclose the APR to me, or my credit score. Upon shopping further, and having a wonderful experience at Patrick Subaru (who offered the same car/year/LESS miles for $2k cheaper), it turns out Herb Chambers... read more

Great at wasting your time, go elsewhere. They expect exactly msrp. In this economy there is no reason to pay asking. Edmunds is accurate and I get at or below that. They used every tactic in the book and in the end my wife and I were checking for our wallets.

I initially made contact with Herb Chambers Honda of Westborough via their website and was contacted by one of their third-party "customer care/service" representatives (Kenneth, specifically). I made an appointment to go into the dealership and speak with a sales rep regarding a single, specific car in their inventory (black/black CR-V). I knew this was the car I wanted, and, provided we could agree on numbers and put attractive financing in place, I was a guaranteed sale. Upon arriving at the dealership, I was immediately ... read more

I want to put this letter here since it will best reflect my experience with Herb Chambers Honda of Westborough. I highly encourage anyone who is in the market for a Honda to go here first. I promise you that you will come back onto dealerrater.com and thank me. There is a reason why I bought my Honda and will buy all future Honda's from Herb Chambers and that says something for someone that lives in New York City (200 miles away) My letter to Herb Chambers To Whom It May Concern: My Journey My Journey began on August 27th 2... read more

I did not buy from this dealership for a few reasons. I did not buy from this dealership for a few reasons. 1-The add says 0 down all around --not exactly ..as the sales guy put it thats a way to get you in here. 2- They didnt have any of model or make i wanted in stock. Accroding to the salesman because of the earthquakes and weather overseas there inventory is low. (Understandable at least I thought it was) 3-I told them I found another dealer w/ a higher model than there so called 0 offer for a lot less and they stated th... read more

The sales person had a great experience and is a big advocate for Honda. Unfortunately it doesn’t help him that Herb Chambers is an overpriced and expensive dealer with poor value and pay off for trade-ins.

The dealership was very busy when I purchased my new vehicle, and I had to come back the next day. Upon coming back the next daynto sign on the dotted line I was made to wait for three and a half hours. I also feel that the salesman was not forthcoming about the status of various processes (telling me when the registration was ready, etc.)
